We send ABA therapists to homes in the City of Richmond and the counties around it. Here is every area we cover, and how many ABA listings each one has for its children.

In-Home ABA Richmond provides in-home ABA therapy in the City of Richmond, Henrico County, Chesterfield County and Hanover County. Because our therapists drive to you, the question isn't which office is closest, but whether a therapist covers your street.

The short version
  • We cover Richmond city plus Henrico, Chesterfield and Hanover counties.
  • Google Maps shows 57 ABA listings within 25 miles of Richmond, but they aren't spread evenly.
  • Hanover County has the fewest listings for its children. Henrico has the most.
  • Send your ZIP code and we will tell you on the first call whether we can serve you.

ABA therapy in Virginia's Richmond area: children per ABA listing

We matched each ABA listing Google Maps shows near Richmond to its county, then compared it with the number of children under 10 in that county from the US Census. The higher the number, the more children share each listing.

Children: US Census American Community Survey 2020 to 2024 (5-year), table B01001. Listings: our pull of ABA listings on Google Maps within 25 miles of Richmond on 16 October 2026, matched to counties by map pin. A listing is an office, not a count of therapists, and in-home providers travel beyond their office.

What it means for you: in Hanover and in parts of the city, fewer providers are nearby, so an in-home team that already drives there matters more. In Henrico's West End, you have more choice, so ask more questions before you pick.

Our ABA program: personalized, individualized therapy for every family

Wherever you live in our area, the program is the same. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst writes your child's individualized treatment plan, and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) work one-on-one with your child at home. You get regular coaching, and we'll talk with teachers and doctors when you want us to.

Goals usually start with communication, daily living skills and calmer routines, then grow into play, social skills and school readiness. Every child is unique, so the BCBA tailors the ABA program to your child's behavioral needs and personalizes it as your child grows, helping each child reach their full potential.

We don't run an autism center or offer diagnostic services. If your child still needs an autism diagnosis, start with our guide to autism evaluations in Richmond, then come back to begin services.

How in-home therapy is scheduled across the area

In-home ABA depends on drive time. We build each therapist's day around families who live near each other, which is how we keep sessions on time and cut cancellations. After-school hours are the busiest, so morning and early afternoon slots for younger children are often easier to fill.

Living near a county line is fine. What matters is your street, not your county. Your insurance works the same in every part of the area. Learn more about insurance and Medicaid, see what a session looks like, or read about in-home ABA therapy in Richmond.

Looking for ABA therapy in Virginia Beach, Norfolk or elsewhere in Virginia?

We only serve central Virginia around Richmond. Families in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Newport News or Northern Virginia should look for ABA services closer to home. The same Virginia rules apply everywhere: Medicaid covers ABA for children under 21 when it's medically necessary, and many private plans must cover it under state law. Our insurance guide works for families across Virginia.

Questions from Virginia families about our service area

Do you offer personalized ABA therapy throughout Virginia?

No. We provide personalized in-home ABA therapy in the Richmond area only: the city, Henrico, Chesterfield and Hanover. For ABA therapy in Virginia Beach, Norfolk or Northern Virginia, look for a provider based there.

Do you provide ABA therapy outside Richmond?

Yes. We cover Henrico, Chesterfield and Hanover counties as well as the City of Richmond. Some families just outside those lines can be served too, depending on our therapists' routes.

Why was I told I am outside a provider's service area?

In-home providers plan routes so therapists aren't driving an hour between families. If one provider has no one near you, another may. Send us your ZIP code.

Do you have a clinic I can visit?

No. We are in-home only. Our team comes to you, so there's no clinic to drive to. If you want a center-based option, read in-home vs center-based ABA.
